Army business analysis & consulting

Edgar Jones and his team analyzed Army business goals, services, and organizational needs, documenting financial and non-financial project benefits. The engagement included recommendations for a study requested by the Assistant Secretary of the Army.

The team delivered a detailed assessment, service-level summaries, and an executive summary. Mr. Jones presented the findings to the Army Command and Control Support Agency (CCSA) and Information Technology Agency (ITA) commanders, officers, and civilian personnel.

The engagement supported organizational consolidation and operational improvements. This work was performed as an FK Jones consultant and forms part of FK Jones & Associates’ company experience.

The following roles describe Edgar Jones’s individual professional background, separately from FK Jones & Associates’ company engagements.

Healthcare project management

As a Project Executive for a large healthcare provider, Edgar Jones coordinated healthcare staff, application developers, IBM specialists, OEM performance professionals, and IBM labs to evaluate a critical healthcare application before production.

The application handled capitation, claims adjudication, and patient eligibility. He led test strategy, project planning, defect and configuration management, automated testing coordination, financial oversight, and overall test management in a demanding environment with a 24/7 schedule.

Testing identified major performance concerns, enabling the team to resolve defects and successfully move the application into production.

IBM cybersecurity training & internal auditing

Following a security breach at IBM, Edgar Jones helped retrain employees and management on evolving electronic security threats. He later served as an IBM Internal Security Auditor, assessing how IBM organizations around the globe protected vital assets.
